Job summary

Open Cosmos Ltd. is seeking a software engineer to design, implement, validate and maintain satellite flight software. You will contribute to ground tools, ensure robustness for space missions, and develop features for Linux and RTOS environments.

Collaboration with Systems, Electronics and Mission Operations teams is essential. You will apply secure coding practices and fault-tolerant design, participate in code reviews, testing campaigns and CI/CD processes to ensure high software quality

Qualifications

Proficiency in Rust, or strong C/C++ with motivation to move to Rust in production.
Experience with Linux development including scripting and CLI tooling.
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and automation tools (GitLab, Jenkins, Docker, pytest).

Responsibilities

Designing, implementing, validating, and maintaining satellite flight software.
Supporting ground tools, ensuring robustness and traceability for space missions.
Developing features for Linux and RTOS-based systems per mission requirements.
Participating in code reviews, tests, and CI/CD to maintain high quality.
Maintaining configuration control, documentation, and traceability throughout development.
Collaborating with Systems, Electronics and Mission Operations teams for integration and testing.
Contributing to post-launch operations and build/integration activities.
Driving continuous improvement in architecture, design, and engineering processes.
