Job summary

Sumo Logic in the United Kingdom is seeking a Senior Solutions Engineer to act as the primary technical resource for the Account Executive team. You will translate customer requirements into tailored solutions, lead technical validations, and deliver compelling product demonstrations.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (MS preferred).
5+ years in roles like Solutions Engineer, Sales Engineer, or related client-facing tech roles.
Experience with security products and sources (IDS/IPS, SIEM, threat detection, etc.).
Experience with open source stacks (Telegraf, FluentBit/D, OpenTelemetry).
Experience leading technical validations like Proof of Value.
Experience selling multi-tenant SaaS in cloud environments (AWS, GCP, Azure).
Background in modern infrastructure (servers, networking, storage).
Knowledge of microservices, containers (Kubernetes, Docker, Lambda).
Familiarity with monitoring tools (Splunk, Datadog, Elastic, New Relic).
Comfort in dynamic startup settings and strong written/verbal communication.

Responsibilities

Partner with Account Executives to understand customer challenges and articulate value propositions.
Close complex opportunities through technical credibility and competitive knowledge.
Lead technical validations during Proof of Value phases.
Engage with executives to developers and site reliability engineers.
Deliver product and technical demonstrations of the Sumo Logic service.
Collaborate with Product Management and Engineering to improve the service.
