Job summary

Sumo Logic, Inc. seeks a Senior Solutions Engineer to act as the primary technical resource for the Account Executive team. You will demonstrate the product via presentations and trials, tailor solutions to client needs, and guide customers through POVs to secure value delivery.

You will work with Product Management and Engineering to share insights that improve our platform and customer success, thriving in a fast-paced startup environment.

Qualifications

• BS in Computer Science or Engineering (MS preferred).
• 5+ years in Solutions Engineer/related client-facing roles.
• Hands-on with security products (IDS/IPS, SIEM, threat detection, etc.).
• Experience with open source telemetry tools (Telegraf, FluentBit/D FluentD, etc.).
• Experience with POVs and SaaS in multi-tenant environments.
• Experience with AWS, GCP and Azure (certifications preferred).
• Strong infra background (servers, networking, storage).
• Knowledge of microservices, containers; Kubernetes Docker or Lambda preferred.
• Experience with monitoring tools: Splunk, Datadog, Elastic, New Relic.

Responsibilities

• Partner with AEs to understand challenges and articulate Sumo Logic’s value proposition.
• Technically close complex opportunities through deep knowledge and credibility.
• Lead technical validations during the Proof of Value phase.
• Engage with executives to developers and Site Reliability Engineers.
• Deliver product and technical demonstrations of the Sumo Logic service.
• Collaborate with Product Management and Engineering to improve offerings based on customer feedback.
