A leading legal recruitment agency is seeking a Locum Employment Lawyer for a 3-month role based in East Anglia. The position offers full or part-time hours with predominantly remote working arrangements and an hourly rate of £50-£60, dependent on experience. Responsibilities include managing a caseload of employment law claims, advising Council departments, and drafting legal documents. This role requires experience in Employment Law and a strong understanding of local authority practices.

Qualifications

• Experience in Employment Litigation and Employment Tribunals.
• Prior experience working on behalf of Local Authorities.
• Desirable: handling matters related to the Local Government Pension.

Responsibilities

• Conduct a caseload including claims related to discrimination and unfair dismissal.
• Draft ET3’s and defend various claims.
• Provide advice on employment law issues to Council departments.

Skills

Experience handling Employment Law matters

Experience with Employment Litigation

Knowledge of TUPE

Ability to provide advice to Senior Managers
