Job summary

BMS Performance Ltd. is seeking an External Sales Manager for lighting controls and components. This remote/field-based role covers the Midlands and South of England, engaging with lighting OEMs and manufacturers to drive design-in opportunities and new business.

You will develop relationships, present solutions, promote LED technologies and controls, and manage opportunities through the sales cycle while maintaining a strong pipeline and CRM records.

Qualifications

• Proven B2B sales experience within the lighting industry.
• Knowledge of lighting controls, components or LED technology.
• Experience selling to lighting OEMs and manufacturers.
• Understanding OEM/design-in sales processes.
• Experience developing both existing accounts and new business.
• Strong commercial awareness and relationship-building skills.
• Full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage relationships with lighting OEMs, manufacturers and key customers.
• Promote lighting components, LED technologies and lighting control solutions.
• Identify and develop new business opportunities within the lighting manufacturing sector.
• Develop design-in opportunities with customers and identify suitable products.
• Understand customer applications and provide commercially focused product recommendations.
• Deliver product presentations and demonstrations face-to-face and remotely.
• Maintain a healthy sales pipeline and CRM records.
• Travel regularly across the Midlands and South of England to visit customers and prospects.
• Work with internal sales, technical and customer service teams.
