Job summary

BMS Engineering Recruitment is seeking an External Sales Manager for lighting controls and components, covering the Midlands and South of England with remote/field-based working. You will develop relationships with lighting manufacturers and OEMs and guide customers through the design-in process.

Key duties include account development, new business generation, technical product engagement and solution selling, with a focus on achieving sales targets and maintaining a robust pipeline.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in B2B sales within the lighting industry.
• Experience selling to and working with lighting OEMs and manufacturers.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage relationships with lighting OEMs, manufacturers and key customers.
• Promote lighting components, LED technologies and lighting control solutions.
• Identify and develop new business opportunities within the lighting manufacturing sector.
• Develop design-in opportunities with customers to identify suitable products and solutions.
• Travel regularly across the Midlands and South of England to visit customers and prospects.
• Maintain accurate CRM records and provide regular pipeline updates.
• Manage the sales process from initial opportunity through to order.
• Achieve agreed sales and revenue targets.
