Providing exemplary lighting packages to our varied customer base offering products from our preferred supplier partners tailored to suit the needs of our customers.

This is a face to face sales role.

While experience within Lighting Design is advantageous it is not essential. This role is primarily sales focused; the ability to build rapport with customers face‑to‑face and provide exemplary service is what we are looking for in the successful candidate.

Core Duties and Responsibilities
  • Site visits, surveys and providing quotations: conduct on‑site surveys and assessments to determine existing conditions, provide technical advice and ensure offers are build‑able and meet project requirements.
  • Documentation: prepare and maintain comprehensive design documentation, including technical drawings, specifications, luminaire schedules and bills of quantities.
  • Compliance & standards: ensure all designs meet relevant national and European standards, guidelines, legislation and energy‑efficiency targets (e.g., DMRB for highways projects).
  • Collaboration: work closely with clients, sales teams, contractors and multi‑disciplinary design teams (e.g., mechanical and electrical engineers) to ensure project coordination and client requirements are met.
  • Project management of orders: assist in planning, organising and overseeing projects from concept to completion, ensuring delivery on time and within budget.
  • Problem solving & technical support: analyse engineering problems, develop innovative solutions and provide technical guidance and support to internal teams and customers.
Key Skills and Qualifications
  • Proven track record of lighting sales within the UK.
  • Technical knowledge: strong understanding of electrical design principles, lighting control systems (DALI, DMX, etc.) and lighting maintenance operations.
  • Software proficiency: basic competency with lighting design and CAD software (Relux, DIALux, AutoCAD).
  • Qualifications: a qualification in an electrical or building‑services discipline is preferred. Membership/registration with a professional body such as the Institute of Lighting Professionals (ILP) or the Engineering Council is highly valued, with the ILP Exterior Lighting Diploma commonly required for highway roles.
  • Soft skills: excellent communication, time‑management, collaboration and organisational skills.
  • Driving licence: a full UK driving licence is required for site visits.
Benefits and Working Conditions
  • Company car, mobile phone and laptop.
  • Full training programme to teach you about the company, philosophy, products and systems.
  • Industry‑leading profit‑sharing bonus scheme paid annually.
  • Private medical insurance.
  • Long‑term career prospects with a company that has been around since 1801.
  • Monday to Friday schedule.
  • Company pension scheme with 4x salary life insurance & private health insurance.
  • Inclusive environment with opportunities to develop great relationships.
