Job summary

NAES United Kingdom is seeking an Electrical Support Engineer to provide fleet-wide HV and LV electrical engineering expertise for a seven-location power generation fleet. The role involves extensive travel across the UK, with a remote, home-based setup when not on site.

You will support fault investigations, maintenance strategy development and project delivery, ensuring safety, reliability and regulatory compliance across all assets.

Qualifications

• HND or equivalent in Electrical Engineering; degree preferred.
• Experience in power generation or heavy industry.
• Strong knowledge of HV/LV systems and protection equipment.
• Experience managing outages, projects, scheduling and budgets.
• UK electrical safety standards knowledge and site authorisations.

Responsibilities

• Provide fleet-wide HV/LV electrical engineering support and guidance.
• Investigate faults, root causes and improve reliability.
• Coordinate switching, isolation, inspection and testing with teams.
• Lead outages planning and contractor coordination for downtime minimisation.
• Develop fleet maintenance strategies and oversee CMMS usage.
• Assess modifications and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Maintain fleet electrical asset registers and critical spares.
• Collaborate with Operations, Maintenance and external stakeholders.
