NAES United Kingdom is seeking an Electrical Support Engineer to deliver fleet-wide HV/LV electrical expertise for seven-location operations. The role is remote and home-based with extensive travel across the UK, supporting Derby, Heartlands, Peterborough and other sites while ensuring safe, reliable power generation.

You will work with station teams, contractors and OEMs to resolve issues, maintain plant availability and develop maintenance strategies.

Competenze

• HND or equivalent in Electrical Engineering; degree preferred.
• Experience in power generation or heavy industry is required.
• Strong knowledge of HV/LV systems, switchgear, transformers and protection equipment.
• Experience in fault diagnosis, troubleshooting and reliability improvement.
• Ability to manage projects, outages, scheduling, budgeting and QA.

Mansioni

• Provide fleet-wide HV/LV electrical support, ensuring compliance with UK law and safety standards.
• Investigate faults, protection issues and recurring failures; implement corrective actions.
• Perform HV/LV switching, isolation, inspection and testing as trained and authorised.
• Coordinate electrical activities during outages with station teams, contractors and OEMs.
• Develop preventive, corrective and condition-based maintenance strategies for the fleet.
• Evaluate modifications, upgrades and designs with appropriate reviews and approvals.
• Manage electrical engineering projects, including contractor oversight, installation, testing and commissioning.
• Maintain fleet electrical asset registers, documentation and spare parts planning.
• Collaborate with Operations, Maintenance and Engineering to plan work and secure resources.
• Contribute to long-term fleet engineering strategies to improve performance and lifecycle costs.
• Support electrical, control and instrumentation activities ensuring safety culture across the fleet.
