Zusammenfassung

NAES United Kingdom is hiring an Electrical Support Engineer to provide fleet-wide HV and LV electrical expertise for Whitetower Energy assets across the UK. The role requires working remotely from home with extensive UK travel to sites, ensuring safe operation, fault diagnosis and maintenance across seven locations.

The successful candidate will lead electrical project work, outages and maintenance planning, leveraging CMMS and strong technical knowledge to improve reliability and lifecycle

Qualifikationen

• An HND or equivalent qualification in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline is required; a relevant degree is preferred.
• Relevant electrical engineering experience within power generation, heavy industry or a similarly complex industrial environment is required, preferably involving gas turbine generating facilities.
• Strong technical knowledge of HV and LV electrical systems, including switchgear, generators, transformers, protection equipment and associated plant infrastructure, is essential.

Aufgaben

• Provide fleet-wide HV and LV electrical engineering support, ensuring compliance with applicable UK legislation, engineering standards and safe working practices.
• Investigate electrical equipment faults, protection system issues and recurring failures, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions to improve plant reliability.
• Undertake HV and LV switching, isolation, inspection and testing activities where appropriately trained and authorised, providing technical guidance to station personnel.
• Coordinate electrical engineering activities during planned and unplanned outages, working with station teams, contractors and OEMs to minimise downtime and restore generation availability.
• Develop consistent preventive, corrective and condition-based electrical maintenance strategies across the fleet, utilising the CMMS.
