Job summary

A recruitment agency is seeking an experienced Health and Safety Advisor for a 7-month temporary position. This role involves providing crucial advice on health and safety management, compliance with regulations, and conducting site audits. The ideal candidate will hold a NEBOSH certification and have significant experience in construction safety, alongside effective communication and organizational skills. The position allows remote work but requires travel across several regions in the UK, making personal transportation essential.

Qualifications

  • NEBOSH National General and/or Construction Certificate (or equivalent) is essential.
  • Membership of IOSH is essential.
  • Substantial experience researching health and safety policies is essential.

Responsibilities

  • Provide expert advice on health and safety management and compliance.
  • Assist managers with support and guidance on health, safety, and welfare matters.
  • Advise on risk assessments and health and safety plans for projects.
  • Conduct site inspections and monitor contractor compliance.
  • Coordinate with management to improve health and safety standards.

Skills

Experience of CDM Regulations 2015
Experience in construction health, safety, and welfare
Proficiency in Microsoft Office
Effective communication skills
Ability to organize and plan workload
In-depth health and safety management experience
Researching and developing health and safety policies
Knowledge of health and safety legislation

Education

NEBOSH National General and/or Construction Certificate
Membership of IOSH
NEBOSH National Diploma
