Job Description

Remote Finance Manager | Scaling Music & Live Events Business | Remote (UK Based)

Harmonic are delighted to be working with a rapidly growing business within the music and live events sector. Our client partners closely with artists, touring teams, promoters, agents, and external stakeholders across a range of revenue streams-including live shows, touring, merch, brand partnerships, and royalties.

Our client's preference is for the position to begin part‑time and grow into full‑time as the finance function expands, but they are also very open to candidates who would prefer full‑time from the outset.

The Role

This role combines hands‑on ownership of the finance function with influential senior stakeholder engagement. You will lead two junior accountants, ensuring smooth operational delivery while enhancing reporting, systems, and commercial insight across touring, live events, and artist finances.

You’ll work remotely with occasional in‑person collaboration and act as the finance partner to senior leadership, artist management teams, and external music‑industry stakeholders. The ideal candidate will love the detail of financial accuracy while also being comfortable influencing commercial decisions.

Responsibilities
  • Lead day-to-day finance operations across AP / AR, credit control, invoicing, settlements, expenses, and payments (with the help of 2 junior accountants)
  • Manage and mentor two junior accountants, ensuring strong controls and high‑quality output
  • Business partner with the Directors / Founders and artist teams
  • Produce monthly management accounts with insight for senior leadership and artist teams
  • Own budgeting, forecasting, and cashflow planning across touring, live events, and multi‑stream artist revenue
  • Maintain accurate financial records in Xero; complete reconciliations and ensure compliant documentation
  • Review profitability, project performance, and cashflow for tours and live events
  • Improve financial systems, reporting tools, and internal workflows to support scalability
  • Oversee payroll reviews, VAT and year‑end accounts with external accounting firm
  • Ad hoc tasks to support the Founders / Junior Accountants
What We Need to See (Essential)
  • Fully qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA)
  • Experience working within the creative, music, live events, media, or entertainment sector
  • Background managing or mentoring junior finance staff
  • Comfortable in high‑volume, fast‑paced environments with multiple revenue streams
Package
  • Salary: £50,000-£55,000
  • Working Pattern: Remote with occasional in‑person collaboration
  • Hours: Ideally begins part‑time and transitions to full‑time, although full‑time from day one is welcomed
  • Start Date: Flexible
