Job summary

Agfa Inkjet Solutions is seeking a highly motivated Engineer to join our fully remote team. You will provide technical service support to customers, working independently with ownership of your tasks.

The role involves field support across the UK and Ireland, with occasional Europe travel, and a preference for candidates based in the West Midlands. Responsibilities include repairing and maintaining equipment, pre-installations, remote pre-qualification, and thorough documentation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical field or equivalent experience with repairs and installations on wide-format printing equipment.
• Proven track record in remote/customer-facing, work-from-home or field-based roles.
• Strong self-motivation with the discipline to meet deadlines without direct supervision.
• Excellent written and verbal English; able to translate technical info clearly.
• Solid IT skills including MS Word, Excel and basic networking/OS knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Repair and maintain customer equipment effectively and efficiently.
• Carry out pre-installations and installations.
• Provide remote call pre-qualification and attempt remote fixes where possible.
• Document and report technical issues; ensure logging and closure of calls.
• Support customers in the UK/IE, with occasional travel to Europe.
• Maintain technical/professional expertise, identify learning opportunities for self and team.
