Whitetower Energy Ltd is seeking an Electrical Support Engineer to provide fleet-wide HV/LV electrical expertise for safe, reliable operation of UK power assets. The role requires extensive travel across the UK, with Sheffield serving as a strategic base for Thornhill, Derby and Viking facilities.

The candidate will join a team responsible for fault investigation, maintenance strategies and engineering projects, reporting to the Fleet Engineer.

Competenze

• HND or equivalent in Electrical Engineering required; degree preferred
• Experience in power generation or heavy industry with gas turbine facilities
• Strong knowledge of HV/LV systems incl. switchgear, generators and transformers
• Experience in fault diagnosis, troubleshooting and reliability improvements
• Ability to manage outages, scheduling, budgeting and contractor oversight

Mansioni

• Provide fleet-wide HV and LV electrical support ensuring compliance with UK legislation and safety standards
• Investigate faults and root causes, implementing corrective actions to improve plant reliability
• Coordinate HV/LV switching, isolation, inspection and testing with trained personnel
• Manage outages, coordinating with stations, contractors and OEMs to minimise downtime
• Develop preventive, corrective and condition-based maintenance strategies across the fleet (CMMS)
• Maintain fleet electrical asset registers and critical spares documentation
• Collaborate with Operations, Maintenance and Engineering to plan work and secure resources
• Support electrical, control and instrumentation activities across the fleet and promote safety culture
