Job summary

Placr Recruitment is seeking an experienced Business Development & Account Manager to join a growing technology business. The role is home-based with travel to customer sites and occasional office days in West Sussex, offering a 60% new business and 40% account management split.

You'll access an established customer and prospect database, nurture relationships, and work to grow accounts while maintaining CRM records and hitting targets.

Qualifications

• Experience in B2B sales and developing new business opportunities.
• Strong relationship-building skills to grow accounts.

Responsibilities

• Develop new business through proactive sales activity and lead generation.
• Re-engage dormant and previous customers to identify opportunities.
• Follow up inbound enquiries and manufacturer-generated leads.
• Build relationships and develop accounts to maximise sales opportunities.
• Identify cross-selling and upselling opportunities across hardware, software and consumables.
• Prepare quotations, manage margins and close opportunities.
• Maintain CRM records, sales pipelines and forecasts.
• Visit customers and carry out site meetings as needed.
• Collaborate with manufacturer partners on demonstrations and pricing.
