Job summary

Placr Recruitment is seeking an experienced Business Development & Account Manager to join a growing technology business. The role is predominantly home-based with travel to customer sites, supplier meetings and occasional office days in West Sussex.

You will generate new business, re-engage existing customers and drive upselling opportunities while maintaining accurate CRM records and forecasts.

Qualifications

• Proven B2B sales experience with a track record of growing accounts.
• Strong commercial awareness, including margins and profitability.
• Confident prospecting via phone, email and in person.
• Excellent relationship-building and organisational skills.
• Experience using CRM systems and managing a sales pipeline.

Responsibilities

• Generate new business through proactive sales activity and lead generation.
• Re-engage dormant customers and manage manufacturer-generated leads.
• Develop accounts, upsell hardware, software and consumables.
• Prepare quotations, manage margins and close opportunities.
• Maintain CRM records, pipelines and forecasts; visit customers as needed.
