Job summary

Mitie Group plc is seeking a Retail Security Officer in Fareham to provide a visible, reassuring presence on the shop floor and to help protect people and property while delivering excellent customer service. The role offers flexible shifts and paid lunch breaks, creating a supportive working pattern that fits around your life.

We require an SIA licence (or willingness to complete training) and a full 5-year checkable history for vetting.

Responsibilities

• Provide a visible, reassuring presence on the shop floor
• Deliver outstanding customer service at all times
• Deter theft and anti-social behaviour
• Carry out regular store patrols
• Operate CCTV to reduce crime and stock loss
• Work closely with store management teams
• Support partnerships with Police and local crime networks
• Use Body Worn CCTV to enhance safety on site

What You'll Be Doing

• Providing a visible, reassuring presence on the shop floor
• Delivering outstanding customer service at all times
• Deterring theft, anti-social behaviour and public order offences
• Carrying out regular store patrols
• Operating CCTV systems to reduce crime and stock loss
• Working closely with store management teams
• Supporting partnerships with Police and local crime networks
• Using Body Worn CCTV to enhance safety for everyone onsite

What You'll Need

• A valid SIA licence (or willingness to complete the training – we may be able to support you with this)
• A full 5-year checkable employment or education history (this is essential for vetting)
• A proactive, professional and customer-focused approach
