Mitie Group plc. in Wakefield is seeking a confident Retail Security Officer to protect customers and staff while maintaining a safe shopping environment. You’ll deter theft, patrol stores, monitor CCTV and work with local teams to keep the store secure.

The role offers guaranteed hours, paid lunch breaks and a supportive team. A valid SIA licence or willingness to complete training is required, with a thorough vetting process including a 5-year history check.

Responsibilities

• Providing a visible, reassuring presence on the shop floor
• Delivering outstanding customer service at all times
• Deterring theft, anti-social behaviour and public order offences
• Carrying out regular store patrols
• Operating CCTV systems to reduce crime and stock loss
• Working closely with store management teams
• Supporting partnerships with Police and local crime networks
• Using Body Worn CCTV to enhance safety for everyone onsite
