Mitie Group plc. is hiring a Retail Security Officer to help protect customers and colleagues on shop floors across Bedford, Stevenage, Huntingdon, Luton and Milton Keynes. You will maintain a visible presence, deliver excellent service and deter theft, with flexible shifts discussed at interview.

A valid SIA licence (or willingness to train) and a 5-year checkable history are required. You’ll be paid £13.23 per hour, and breaks are paid as part of your shift.

Responsibilities

• Providing a visible, reassuring presence on the shop floor
• Delivering outstanding customer service at all times
• Deterring theft, anti-social behaviour and public order offences
• Carrying out regular store patrols
• Operating CCTV systems to reduce crime and stock loss
• Working closely with store management teams
• Supporting partnerships with Police and local crime networks
• Using Body Worn CCTV to enhance safety for everyone onsite
