Job summary

Mitie Group plc. is seeking a Retail Security Officer to provide a confident, approachable presence on the shop floor and protect customers and colleagues. You’ll help deter theft, support a safe shopping environment and deliver exceptional service during every shift.

Qualifications

• A valid SIA licence (or willingness to complete the training – we may be able to support you with this)
• A full 5-year checkable employment or education history (this is essential for vetting)
• A proactive, professional and customer-focused approach

Responsibilities

• Providing a visible, reassuring presence on the shop floor
• Delivering outstanding customer service at all times
• Deterring theft, anti-social behaviour and public order offences
• Carrying out regular store patrols
• Operating CCTV systems to reduce crime and stock loss
• Working closely with store management teams
• Supporting partnerships with Police and local crime networks
• Using Body Worn CCTV to enhance safety for everyone onsite
