Job summary

Mitie Group plc. is seeking a Retail Security Officer to protect customers and staff on the shop floor. The role offers a consistent, professional environment with flexible shifts and a friendly team.

You will help deter theft, provide excellent customer service, and operate CCTV systems to reduce stock loss while coordinating with store management and police partners. A valid SIA licence is required or training support may be provided.

What You'll Be Doing

• Providing a visible, reassuring presence on the shop floor


• Delivering outstanding customer service at all times


• Deterring theft, anti-social behaviour and public order offences


• Carrying out regular store patrols


• Operating CCTV systems to reduce crime and stock loss


• Working closely with store management teams


• Supporting partnerships with Police and local crime networks


• Using Body Worn CCTV to enhance safety for everyone onsite

What You'll Need

• A valid SIA licence (or willingness to complete the training – we may be able to support you with this)


• A full 5-year checkable employment or education history (this is essential for vetting)
