A leading retirement community developer is seeking a Relief Care & Support Assistant in Newport to provide individual care to elderly residents, ensuring their wellbeing and supporting diverse daily activities. The role requires experience in care, a passion for enhancing seniors' quality of life, and a QCF Level 2 in health and social care preferred. The position offers flexible shifts at a competitive hourly rate, with additional compensation for evening and weekends, along with various benefits including holiday, insurance, and training opportunities.
About the role: As a Relief Care & Support Assistant you will provide the highest quality of individual care to our residents enabling them to live later life well. You will deliver housekeeping and domestic support across the general estate, including apartment cleans. Duties will be varied and include supporting and encouraging our residents to take part in a wide range of activities that support their health and wellbeing. You will help them to book appointments, arrange transport and where necessary, escort them on visits and assist with their shopping. Every day will be diverse, and you'll have the opportunity to use your people skills to make a real difference.

Hourly rate: £13.26 per hour, plus up to an additional £1.30 for working evenings and weekends. Hours: To cover shifts on an 'as and when' basis when required, to be discussed with the development Manager.
