A healthcare services provider is seeking full-time Band 5 RGN primary care nurses for an interim position at HMPYOI Deerbolt. The role involves diverse responsibilities including primary care, urgent care, and health assessments. Candidates should be registered nurses with a commitment to high-quality clinical care and teamwork. Comprehensive training will be provided. This role offers access to NHS pension, flexible working, and up to 33 days annual leave.
We’re recruiting now for full time (37.5 hours per week) Band 5 RGN primary care nurses to cover an interim position for approx 6 months to work within our prison services in HMPYOI Deerbolt.
Every day is different for a prison nurse, as you’ll work within varied roles including primary care nursing, minor injuries and illnesses, emergency and urgent care, health assessment and wellbeing checks, and long term conditions.
We are a multi-disciplinary team collaborating with other services like GP, Optometry, Dentist, Podiatry, Physiotherapy, Sexual health, Substance Misuse and Mental health. You’ll be a qualified registered nurse (RGN) with a passion to deliver high-quality clinical care and a commitment to the rehabilitation of offenders. You’ll be self-motivated, have a sound knowledge base and excellent communications skills.
Experience of working within the prison environment is not necessary as full induction and training will be provided.
