Job summary

YourRecruit is seeking a Registered Manager to lead a 3-bed EBD children’s home in Northampton. You will oversee operations, safeguarding and Ofsted compliance, ensuring high-quality, child-centred care for young people.

The role demands strong leadership, budget oversight and collaboration with authorities to maintain safety and positive outcomes. Applicants should have prior Registered Manager or deputy experience, plus a Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare

Qualifications

• Previous Registered Manager or substantial DeputyManager experience within children's residential homes.
• Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare, or working towards completion.
• Strong knowledge of Ofsted regulations, safeguarding and children's residential care legislation.

Responsibilities

• Lead, manage and develop the residential care team.
• Ensure the home meets Ofsted requirements and Quality Standards.
• Maintain safeguarding practices and promote child-centred care.
• Oversee care plans, risk assessments and placement reviews.
• Manage staffing, budgets and day-to-day operations.
• Prepare for and lead Ofsted inspections.
• Collaborate with Responsible Individual and local authorities.
• Create a positive, supportive environment for staff and young people.
• Drive continuous improvement and high standards of care.
