Job summary

RJS Resourcing Ltd is recruiting a Registered Manager for a new 3-bed EBD home in Sutton Coldfield. You will lead overall operations, ensure regulatory compliance and drive high standards of care for young people.

The role requires strong leadership, safeguarding expertise and a track record in children's residential care, with opportunities to shape the service and achieve Ofsted ratings. Competitive salary and bonus opportunities offered.

Qualifications

• Experience within children's residential care, including leadership or management responsibility.
• Strong knowledge of safeguarding and regulatory frameworks.
• Experience of Ofsted inspections and quality standards.
• Ability to lead, motivate and develop a staff team.
• Strong communication and decision-making skills.
• Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management (or willingness to work towards).
• Designation Safeguarding Lead Level 3 (or willingness to obtain).
• Willingness to undergo an enhanced DBS check.

Responsibilities

• Overseeing the day-to-day management and operations of the home.
• Ensuring the service operates in line with its Statement of Purpose.
• Leading the home to achieve and maintain 'Good' or 'Outstanding' Ofsted ratings.
• Managing, developing and supporting the staff team through supervision and leadership.
• Ensuring safeguarding and compliance standards are consistently met.
• Overseeing care planning, education and risk management for young people.
• Maintaining effective staffing structures to meet individual needs.
• Promoting a positive, safe and nurturing environment for young people.
• Working in line with current legislation, policies and procedures.
• Monitoring performance, quality standards and continuous improvement.
