Job summary

Elite Search Associates Limited is seeking an experienced Registered Manager to lead a 3-bed EBD Children's Home in Telford, delivering high-quality, child-centred care. You will oversee day-to-day operations, recruit and develop a dedicated staff team, safeguard young people, and ensure compliance with Ofsted, safeguarding procedures and care planning.

Qualifications

• Experience leading a residential children's home.
• Ability to develop staff and deliver training.
• Strong safeguarding knowledge and procedures.
• Familiarity with Ofsted regulations and inspections.

Responsibilities

• Take overall responsibility for the management and operation of the 3-bed children's home.
• Ensure the home provides a safe, stable, nurturing and therapeutic environment.
• Lead and motivate the staff team, promoting a positive and professional culture.
• Recruit, induct, supervise and develop staff.
• Ensure staff receive appropriate training and ongoing professional development.
• Develop and maintain high standards of care planning, safeguarding and record keeping.
• Ensure individual care plans and risk assessments are regularly reviewed and updated.
• Work closely with social workers, placing authorities, education providers, health professionals and families.
• Promote positive outcomes for every young person living in the home.
• Ensure safeguarding procedures are followed and concerns are appropriately reported and managed.
• Monitor incidents, complaints, allegations and significant events and take appropriate action.
• Maintain compliance with Ofsted requirements, regulations and the home's Statement of Purpose.
• Prepare the home for Ofsted inspections and respond appropriately to recommendations.
• Monitor staff performance and address any issues effectively and fairly.
• Manage rotas, staffing levels and resources to ensure the home operates safely and effectively.
• Maintain accurate records and ensure the home is consistently inspection-ready.
