Job summary

YourRecruit Ltd is seeking an experienced Registered Manager to lead a 3-bed emotional and behavioural difficulties (EBD) children's home in Northampton. You will oversee the residential care team, ensure regulatory compliance, and drive positive outcomes for children and young people.

The role requires strong leadership, safeguarding expertise, and a track record in children's services. A Level 5 qualification (or near completion) and experience with Ofsted standards are preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience as Registered Manager or substantial Deputy Manager in children's residential homes.
• Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or working towards).
• Strong knowledge of Ofsted regulations, safeguarding and children's residential care legislation.
• Experience supporting young people with emotional and behavioural difficulties (EBD).
• Excellent leadership, communication and staff management skills.

Registered Manager – Key Responsibilities

As the Registered Manager, you will take overall responsibility for the operational management, safeguarding and regulatory compliance of the children's home.

Your responsibilities will include:

Registered Manager – Experience and Qualifications

We welcome applications from experienced Registered Managers and established Deputy Managers seeking progression.

The successful Registered Manager candidate will ideally demonstrate:

• Previous Registered Manager or substantial Deputy Manager experience within children's residential homes.
• Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare, or working towards completion.
• Strong knowledge of Ofsted regulations, safeguarding and children's residential care legislation.
• Experience supporting young people with emotional and behavioural difficulties (EBD).
• Excellent leadership, communication and staff management skills.
• The confidence to manage a children's residential home and deliver positive outcomes.
• Experience opening or developing children's homes would be advantageous.
