Job summary

YourRecruit Ltd is seeking an experienced Registered Manager to lead a 3-bed emotional and behavioural difficulties (EBD) children's home in Northampton. You will oversee the residential care team, ensure regulatory compliance, and drive positive outcomes for children and young people.

The role requires strong leadership, safeguarding expertise, and a track record in children's services. A Level 5 qualification (or near completion) and experience with Ofsted standards are preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience as Registered Manager or substantial Deputy Manager in children's residential homes.
• Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or working towards).
• Strong knowledge of Ofsted regulations, safeguarding and children's residential care legislation.
• Experience supporting young people with emotional and behavioural difficulties (EBD).
• Excellent leadership, communication and staff management skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead, manage and develop the residential care team.
• Ensure Ofsted compliance and Children’s Homes Regulations 2015.
• Maintain safeguarding practices and promote child-centred care.
• Oversee care plans, risk assessments and placement reviews; manage staffing, budgets and day-to-day operations.
• Prepare for and lead Ofsted inspections.
• Work with the Responsible Individual, local authorities and external professionals.
• Create a positive, supportive environment for staff and young people.
• Drive continuous improvement and high standards of residential care.
