Job Description

The overall purpose of the role is to oversee the day‑to‑day management of the registered children’s home, guide your team and provide a safe and comfortable environment for our children and young people.

Primary duties and responsibilities include:

  • To promote principles of Therapeutic Parenting as a way of caring for children and young people that respects the developmental stage of each child or young person and encourages a playful, accepting, curious and empathic environment (PACE Model) and way of caring.
  • To ensure high occupancy levels and a proactive approach to offering care to newly referred children and young people.
  • To promote the development of a high‑quality, stimulating, creative and educationally rich environment in which children and young people can live.
  • To promote and role‑model empathic, non‑judgemental, and respectful behaviour.
  • To actively engage in the learning and development of self and others.
  • To promote learning and the practical implementation of policies and procedures.
  • To provide monthly supervision as an opportunity for reflection and a chance to reinforce learning objectives and professional development.
  • To review, monitor and plan future development through an annual appraisal.
