An independent provider specializing in residential placements for young people with mental health difficulties is seeking a Registered Manager. This role involves leading a dedicated team to foster a high-aspiration culture for children and young people. You will oversee a 3-bed home, ensuring that the needs of residents are met effectively. The organization focuses on holistic, community-based care, empowering young individuals towards independence. Location: Bradford, BD3
Salary: £42,000 to £50,000
Working hours: Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm, with some on-call duties.
Service: Children’s Home, Secure, overseeing a 3-bed home.
Service Users: Children and young people with mental health issues, aged 7 to 17 upon admission.
Qualifications Required: Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare or equivalent.
This role would suit:
All candidates must have at least 2 years of experience in children's residential (Ofsted Registered) settings within the last 5 years.
Leading and managing the home to deliver its ethos, outcomes, and approach as set out in the Statement of Purpose. You will also contribute to shaping the home's ethos by fostering a culture of high aspiration for children, demonstrated through the care, resources, and opportunities provided.
You should support the adult team to be ambitious for the young people and to develop skills that enable them to support each child's potential. A good understanding of the needs of the children in care is essential to ensure staff can meet these needs effectively.
The organisation is an independent provider registered with CQC and Ofsted, specialising in providing specialist residential placements for young people and young adults with mental health difficulties. They also offer intensive, individualised community care with 24-hour mental health crisis management.
Their services target young people and young adults facing complex mental health challenges who are often considered unsuitable for inpatient hospital settings, experience recurrent hospital admissions, or face delays in discharge due to limited access to mental health services in the community.
The organisation offers specialist therapeutic placements supported by an in-house multidisciplinary mental health team. They focus on holistic community-based care, aiming to empower young individuals towards independence and a high quality of life.
