Your Role

We are looking for an experienced and dedicated Registered Manager to lead a 5-bedroom residential home supporting children and young people with emotional and behavioural difficulties (EBD). This is an exciting opportunity for a committed leader to make a real difference in the lives of vulnerable children by providing a safe, nurturing, and high-quality care environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leadership & Management: Ensure the home operates to the highest standards in line with Ofsted regulations and Children’s Homes Regulations 2015.
  • Team Development: Lead, manage, and support a team of residential support workers to deliver person-centred care.
  • Safeguarding & Compliance: Ensure the home remains fully compliant with legislative and regulatory requirements, promoting a strong safeguarding culture.
  • Care Planning: Oversee the implementation of individual care plans, supporting children with complex emotional and behavioural needs.
  • Multi-Agency Collaboration: Work effectively with social workers, education providers, healthcare professionals, and other external agencies.
  • Financial & Operational Oversight: Manage budgets, staffing rotas, and resources effectively to ensure high-quality service delivery

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management for Residential Childcare (or equivalent, or willingness to work towards it).
  • Significant experience in a leadership role within a children’s residential setting.
  • Strong knowledge of Ofsted regulations, Children’s Homes Regulations, and safeguarding policies.
  • A proven track record in improving outcomes for children and young people with EBD, trauma, and complex needs.
  • Exceptional leadership, organisational, and communication skills.
  • The ability to inspire and develop staff to provide outstanding care.
  • A full UK driving licence (essential).
