Job summary

Chase Taylor Recruitment is recruiting on behalf of an established business in the West Midlands for an experienced Area Sales Manager. The role focuses on developing new business, strengthening existing customer relationships and increasing sales across the territory.

Ideal candidates will have trade sales or branch-based building products experience, with a proven ability to manage installers, builders and trade counters. A full UK driving licence is required and a company car is provided.

Qualifications

• Experience in area/territory sales or trade sales.
• Experience in windows/doors, building products or construction supply is preferred.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills essential.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement an effective area sales strategy to achieve targets.
• Identify and secure new business opportunities within the trade market.
• Build and maintain relationships with installers, builders, contractors and trade counter customers.
• Promote the company's range of windows, doors and building products.
• Identify opportunities to grow customer accounts and increase product sales.
• Conduct regular customer visits to understand requirements and generate new business.
• Develop relationships with customers purchasing through trade counters and building product branches.
• Research local markets and competitor activity to maximise sales potential.
• Prepare quotations, negotiate pricing and close sales opportunities.
• Work closely with internal sales and branch teams to deliver excellent customer service.
• Monitor sales performance and pipeline progress against targets.
• Represent the business professionally at customer meetings and industry events.
