Job summary

Chase Taylor Recruitment is working on behalf of an established business in the uPVC building products sector seeking an experienced Area Sales Manager for Sheffield and surrounding area. You will drive new business, strengthen relationships with trade customers and grow sales across your territory.

The ideal candidate has trade sales experience in windows/doors or construction, a track record of meeting targets and the ability to manage visits independently with a UK driving licence.

Qualifications

• Experience as Area/Territory/Trade Sales Manager or Trade Counter Manager.
• Experience in windows/doors, building plastics or construction supply industries.
• Strong understanding of trade counters and trade customers.
• Proven track record of generating new business and growing accounts.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement an effective area sales strategy to achieve targets.
• Identify and secure new business opportunities within the trade market.
• Build relationships with installers, builders, contractors and trade counter customers.
• Promote the company’s range of windows, doors and building products.
• Identify opportunities to grow customer accounts and increase product sales.
• Conduct regular customer visits to understand requirements and generate new business.
• Develop relationships with customers purchasing through trade counters.
• Research local markets and competitor activity to maximise sales potential.
• Prepare quotations, negotiate pricing and close sales opportunities.
• Work with internal sales and branch teams to deliver excellent customer service.
• Monitor sales performance, pipeline activity and progress against targets.
• Represent the business professionally at meetings and industry events.
