Job summary

Chase Taylor Recruitment is partnering with an established building products business to recruit an Area Sales Manager for Oxford and the M40 corridor. The role focuses on developing new business, expanding trade counter partnerships and driving regional sales growth.

You will manage a territory independently, visit trade counters, installers and builders, and work closely with internal teams to deliver exceptional customer service with a clear commission pathway.

Qualifications

• Experience as Area Sales Manager or similar.
• Experience in windows/doors/building products sector.
• Understanding of trade counter operations and trade customers.
• Track record of generating new business and growing accounts.
• Experience with installers, builders, contractors and trade professionals.
• Excellent communication, negotiation and relationship-building skills.
• Commercially minded and target-driven.
• Able to manage a territory independently and plan visits.
• Full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement an effective area sales strategy to achieve sales targets.
• Identify and secure new business opportunities within the trade market.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with installers, builders, contractors and trade counter customers.
• Promote the company's range of windows, doors and building products.
• Identify opportunities to grow customer accounts and increase product sales.
• Conduct regular customer visits across Oxford and the M40 corridor to understand requirements and generate new business.
• Develop relationships with customers purchasing through trade counters and building product branches.
• Research local markets and competitor activity to maximise sales potential.
• Prepare quotations, negotiate pricing and close sales opportunities.
• Work closely with internal sales and branch teams to deliver excellent customer service.
• Monitor sales performance, pipeline activity and progress against targets.
• Represent the business professionally at customer meetings and industry events.
