Job summary

Barchester Healthcare is seeking an Operational Trainer to deliver induction and development training across a regional cluster including Wokingham, Reading and Bracknell. This home-based role involves travel to care homes and independent hospitals, supporting staff from day one with person-centred, compassionate care.

You will work with Home Managers to implement personal development plans, plan training calendars, and maintain training records to ensure delivery of Good and Outstanding care.

Qualifications

• C&G 7300 (or equivalent) qualification is required.
• Diploma level 3 in Health & Social Care or experience in social care sector.
• Minimum of 2 years training experience and full UK driving licence with travel flexibility.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and deliver induction and development training against Barchester objectives and training statistics.
• Provide practical, hands-on training across a variety of subjects.
• Plan and publish training calendars; maintain up-to-date employee training files.
• Arrange induction paperwork and buddy in advance of new staff starting.
• Maintain regular contact with new team members, coaching and supporting where appropriate.
• Attend external meetings and conferences as required; promote learning and development opportunities.
