Job summary

Barchester Healthcare is seeking an Operational Trainer to deliver induction and development training for staff across approximately four homes in a regional area including Wokingham, Reading and Bracknell. The role is home-based with travel, requiring a full UK driving licence and a passion for developing compassionate, competent care staff.

Qualifications

• C&G 7300 (or equivalent) qualification required.
• Diploma level 3 in Health & Social Care or equivalent experience.
• Working knowledge of legislative requirements in the care sector.
• Minimum 2 years of training experience.
• Full UK driving licence with willingness to travel.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and deliver induction and development training across multiple homes.
• Provide practical, hands-on training across a range of subjects.
• Plan and publish training calendars and maintain training files.
• Observe workplace practice and support staff development.
• Arrange induction paperwork and buddying for new staff.
• Maintain regular contact with new team members and coach as needed.
• Attend external meetings and conferences as required.
• Promote learning opportunities offered by Barchester.
• Work with Home Managers to implement individual development plans.
