Job summary

Barchester Healthcare is seeking an Operational Trainer to deliver induction and ongoing development training across approximately four homes in the Wokingham, Reading, and Bracknell region. The role is home-based with regional travel, requiring a proactive trainer who can engage staff and uphold Barchester’s compassionate care ethos.

The ideal candidate will have C&G 7300 or equivalent, a Diploma Level 3 in Health & Social Care, and at least two years of training experience, plus a full UK

Qualifications

• C&G 7300 or equivalent qualification.
• Diploma level 3 in Health & Social Care or social care sector experience.
• Knowledge of legislative requirements in care.
• 2 years training experience.
• Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and deliver induction and development training across the region.
• Provide practical, hands-on training on various subjects.
• Plan and publish training calendars.
• Keep employee training files up to date.
• Observe workplace practice and mentor staff.
• Arrange induction paperwork and buddy allocation ahead of start date.
• Maintain regular contact with new team members and coach as needed.
• Attend external meetings and conferences when required.
• Promote learning opportunities offered by Barchester.
• Work with Home Managers to implement personal development plans.
