Job summary

Barchester Healthcare is seeking an Operational Trainer to lead induction and ongoing development across a regional footprint that includes Banbury, Tewkesbury, Malvern and Oxford. This home-based role involves travel to multiple care settings, delivering practical training and ensuring staff are confident in person-centered care.

You will coordinate calendars, maintain training files, observe practice and support new staff through their initial weeks in their roles, working closely with Home

Qualifications

• C&G 7300 (or equivalent) relevant care qualification.
• Diploma level 3 in Health & Social Care or equivalent experience.
• Working knowledge of legislative requirements in the care sector.
• Minimum 2 years training experience.
• Full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and deliver induction and development training to meet Barchester objectives.
• Provide practical, hands-on training across various subjects.
• Plan and publish training calendars.
• Ensure employee training files are up to date.
• Observe workplace practice and provide coaching as needed.
• Arrange induction paperwork and assign a buddy before start date.
• Maintain regular contact with new staff and support development.
• Attend external meetings and conferences when required.
• Promote learning opportunities offered by Barchester.
• Collaborate with Home Managers to implement development plans.
