Overview

Are you an experienced refrigeration service and maintenance engineer looking for a mobile role covering Dorset HealthCare services across Dorset? This newly developed role broadens the skills and services provided by the Estates department to support our patients.

Responsibilities
  • Carry out maintenance, breakdowns and repairs of all refrigeration plant and equipment.
  • Perform routine servicing of all refrigeration plant and equipment.
  • Liaise with manufacturers and suppliers.
  • Manage and maintain required stock levels with an emphasis on first‑fix, first visit.
  • Execute reactive and planned works on other building services including hot and cold water systems, ventilation, heating systems, drainage, safe electrical isolation and building fabric.
  • Participate in the out‑of‑hours call‑out rota at a set frequency.
  • Be responsible for driving and maintaining a Trust vehicle.
Benefits
  • Full‑time role: 37.5 hours per week, 8 am–4 pm Monday–Friday.
  • Out‑of‑hours call‑out rota with additional payments.
  • On‑call allowance paid monthly at 4.5% of salary.
  • Recruitment and retention payment of £3,500, split evenly over 12 months.
