White Gables is a 24-hour crisis service supporting individuals experiencing mental health crises, operating on a recovery model. We offer various support services in the community, including outreach, peer support, and supported housing for residents aged 18 and upwards.
Recovery varies for each individual. With the right support at the right time, recovery is possible for everyone. As a Recovery Worker, you will help and inspire service users to maintain their tenancy and independence, working with them to develop personal support plans aligned with their goals—whether developing domestic and financial skills or accessing work, leisure, or educational opportunities. Your contributions will truly make a difference.
No prior experience is required as full training will be provided. Candidates with understanding of mental health issues or lived experience are encouraged to apply. The key qualities are your caring, compassionate nature, empathy, enthusiasm, and ability to work independently and in a team. You should also be willing to participate in a weekly rota and be available for on-call duties.
