Beacon Lodge is a mental health step-down unit supporting individuals transitioning from acute mental health wards back into the community. Passionate about people, you’ll support individuals in gaining skills for independent living. The role emphasizes key working, requiring flexibility to manage a small caseload and assist with daily service operations.
You will provide recovery-focused support through key working sessions and group activities, promoting person-centered care. Your work will enable individuals to develop new skills and find ways to sustain their recovery.
As a Recovery Worker, you will work with individuals to develop tailored support and risk management plans, ensuring effective discharge planning. Your role is vital in helping clients build skills, coping strategies, and encouraging independence.
The position involves working on a 24-hour rolling rota, including 12-hour day and waking night shifts, with alternate weekends.
Experience in the mental health sector is preferred, along with a good understanding of the recovery model, a solution-focused attitude, and a person-centered approach. You should be proactive, adaptable to a fast-paced environment, and comfortable working independently and as part of a team.
Additionally, you should enjoy engaging with people with diverse needs, possess empathy, patience, and a genuine interest in helping others.
