Job description

Recovery Worker

Location: Lincoln

Salary: GBP23,810 pro rata per annum

Hours: 22.5 hours per week

You're caring, flexible, and creative, thriving under pressure, with the ability to connect with people at all levels. You enjoy helping others to live as independently as possible. Join Waythrough's White Gables as a Recovery Worker.

White Gables is a 24-hour crisis service supporting individuals experiencing a mental health crisis, working within a recovery model. We offer a range of support services, including outreach, peer support, and supported housing for people with mental health issues in the local community. Our service is staffed and caters to residents aged 18 and above.

We believe recovery looks different for everyone. With the right support at the right time, recovery is possible for all. As a Recovery Worker, you will help and inspire service users to maintain their tenancy and independence. You will work with them to develop personal support plans to achieve their goals, whether developing domestic and financial skills or accessing work, leisure, or educational opportunities.

No prior experience is required as full training will be provided. However, understanding of mental health issues or lived experience is welcomed. More important are your caring and compassionate nature, empathy, enthusiasm for helping others, and ability to work both independently and as part of a team. Flexibility to work on a weekly rota and be available for on-call duties is essential.

In return, we offer great benefits, training, and development opportunities.
