Service Care Solutions - Substance Misuse Recovery Worker

We are currently working with a charity to fill a long-term contract for a Substance Misuse Recovery Worker. This role involves closely managing a caseload of clients dealing with Opiate, Alcohol, and Non-Opiate substance misuse.

Key responsibilities for Recovery Worker

1. Managing a high caseload of complex cases
2. Working closely with substance misuse clients
3. Delivering harm reduction advice, including needle & syringe exchange, recovery interventions, blood-borne virus prevention, and overdose prevention
4. Supporting service users in accessing education, employment, health services, and wellbeing & recovery activities

Minimum requirements for Recovery Worker

1. Knowledge of completing comprehensive assessments
2. Experience managing a high caseload of complex clients
3. Ability to manage a mixed caseload of Opiate, Alcohol, and Non-Opiate clients
4. Excellent safeguarding knowledge
5. Comfortable working in a busy environment
6. Ability to identify risks and take appropriate action

What we offer for a Recovery Worker

• Competitive rate of £20-£23 per hour, depending on experience
