Job summary

Change Grow Live in Lancaster is recruiting a Recovery Worker to assess and engage service users, ensuring access to the right intervention at the right time. This part-time role is 23.5 hours per week and permanent, with pro rata pay for part-time hours.

You will support the recovery pathway, conduct screening and recovery planning, promote engagement with carers and communities, and deliver structured content in group settings.

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of substance misuse issues and experience in a similar field.
• Experience working with groups/pods and managing group dynamics.
• Excellent verbal and written communication with good IT skills.

Responsibilities

• Support service users from entry into the service through their treatment/recovery journey.
• Provide screening, assessment, and recovery planning and onward referral.
• Reduce drug/alcohol-related harm to service users and wider community.
• Promote involvement of carers, service users and community.
• Advocate for access to partnership services for service users.
• Work with service users to support social reintegration and recovery.
• Design and prepare materials for groups/pods.
• Deliver structured content within group settings to service users at various stages of recovery.
• Debrief with co-facilitators after groups and address concerns.
