Change Grow Live in Eastbourne is recruiting a Recovery Worker to support service users from entry through treatment and recovery journeys. The role is 37.5 hours per week, based in Eastbourne with a satellite site, and a fixed-term contract until 31 October 2027.

You will assess, engage, provide screening, recovery planning and referrals, reduce harm, and advocate for access to services. The post requires commitment to governance, with DBS checks and visa sponsorship not available.

Qualifications

• Excellent communicator with strong written and verbal skills.
• Good IT skills and proficiency in standard software.
• Proactive and able to work on own initiative with good time management.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work with partners and stakeholders.

Responsabilités

• Support service users from entry into the service through their treatment journey.
• Provide screening, assessment, recovery planning and onward referral.
• Reduce drug and alcohol-related harm for service users and community.
• Promote involvement of carers, service users and community.
• Provide advocacy for access to partner services.
• Deliver structured content in group settings and tailor workshops.
