Job summary

Red Sector Recruitment Limited is seeking a Substance Misuse Recovery Worker for a 3-month contract in Lancaster. The role offers a pay rate of £22–£23 per hour for a 37.5-hour week, Monday to Friday, with start ASAP. An Enhanced DBS for Adults and Children on the Update Service is required.

The successful candidate will support service users from entry through treatment and recovery, coordinate screening and referrals, and promote recovery and social reintegration within the community.

Qualifications

• Provide screening, assessment, and recovery planning and onward referral.
• Reduce alcohol-related harm to service users and the wider community.
• Promote carer, service user and community involvement.
• Provide advocacy for access to partnership services.
• Assist service users to social reintegration and meaningful, purposeful lives.

Job description

We currently seeking a Substance Misuse Recovery Worker for our client in Lancaster on a 3 month contract to start ASAP.

The rate of pay will be negotiated between £22-23 an hour. This will be 37.5 Hour a Week Contract, Monday to Friday.

• Supporting service users from point of entry into the service and through their treatment/recovery journey;
• Providing screening, assessment, and recovery planning and onward referral;
• Reducing alcohol related harm to service users and the wider community;
• Promoting carer, service user and community involvement;
• Providing advocacy for access to partnership services;
• Working with service users to support social (re)integration, enabling them to lead meaningful and purposeful lives: promoting recovery, resilience, peer support and self determination.

An Enhanced Adults and Children's DBS on the Update Service will be required for this position
