A leading global payments firm is seeking a Reconciliations and Settlements Analyst to ensure accurate confirmation and reconciliation of FX transactions. In this full-time role based in Coventry, the analyst will report to the Payment Operations Managers and be responsible for compliance and efficient cash settlements. Ideal candidates will have some operational experience in banking and a keen interest in FX processing. We have an exciting opportunity for a Reconciliations and Settlements Analyst, to join our Payments Operations – Reconciliations andlements team at Moneycorp on a full-time / permanent contract, based in our Coventry Office, West Midlands. Reporting directly to the Payment Operations Managers, this role is within the Reconciliations and Settlements team team and the purpose is to lead a team to ensure:
All FX transactions are confirmed, settled and reconciled daily.
All bank accounts, transactions and systems are reconciled daily.
Compliance with client money obligations including Safeguarding, CAR, CASS.
Cash settlements result in funds in the correct bank accounts at the correct times to ensure all payments are released, minimise cost to business and maximise revenue.
The tasks will be split up by 3 main work streams - FX settlements, Cash Settlements and Reconciliations. You will have exposure to a variety of stakeholders across the business including members from the Sales, Dealing, Finance and Group, Risk and Compliance teams and the role will provide the opportunity to learn about all areas of payments within a global FinTech payments business.
We are keen to meet applicants who have an interest in learning FX, settlements and/or reconciliations or have previous operational experience with banking and reconciliation activities, have sharp attention to detail and takes pride in ensure processes and procedure are followed consistently at a high standard.
High interest in moving into a role processing FX, settlements and reconciliations activities.
previous experience with day to day banking and reconciliation activities such as client money reconciliations, cash management, settlement of FX trades.
Prior experience with SWIFT Payments.
Some knowledge and understanding of the banking sector specifically around payments and FX products.
Knowledge and understanding of AML and Compliance requirements including safeguarding i.e. CAR / CASS requirements.
Proficient at establishing credibility quickly and building relationships with a range of stakeholders.
Ability to communicate effectively (both oral and written), stay calm and work well under pressure to meet competing deadlines.
Solution-focused approach and the ability to make objective/ evidence based decisions and influence recommendations and decisions using insights.
Consultative style with the ability to breakdown complex information to suit target audience.
Resilient to change, adapting to and supporting new situations with confidence.
Excellent analytical skills, with ability to think independently and draw conclusions.
