Vets Now is seeking a Part Time Out-Of-Hours Veterinary Receptionist for our Glasgow hospital. You will be the first contact for clients in emergencies, greet visits, take calls, book appointments and handle payments. The role involves clinical coordination, updating veterinary staff and maintaining smooth clinic operations during out‑of‑hours shifts.

The position offers a 10% shift allowance, additional benefits and a chance to work in a leading emergency pet care network across the UK.

Part Time Out-Of-Hours Veterinary Receptionist

£13.45ph plus benefits plus a 10% shift allowance for working out-of-hours

Role Overview

• First point of contact:
  • Serve as an initial point of contact for clients during emergency situations, whether through calls or in person visits. Including greeting all clients, answering calls, and booking appointments as well as handling financial transactions.
• Administration:
  • Manage administrative duties in clinic accurately, ensuring the smooth operation of the service.
  • Providing updates to veterinary staff about patients enroute or clients requiring assistance.
• Client Support:
  • Be a friendly and reassuring presence, offering support and information when clients need it most.
  • Act as a liaison between clients and veterinary professionals.

Working pattern

Week 1: Sunday, Monday and Tuesday from 00:00 to 07:00

Week 2: Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday from 00:00 to 07:00

Week 3: Off

Week 4: Sunday, Monday and Tuesday from 00:00 to 07:00
