Job summary

Vets Now Belfast is seeking a Weekend Veterinary Receptionist to provide a warm welcome to clients in emergencies, greet visitors, answer calls, book appointments and handle payments with accuracy.

You will manage clinic administration, keep veterinary teams updated on patients, and offer friendly, reassuring support to clients while coordinating with the wider emergency care team, with benefits and a supportive, patient‑focused environment.

• Admin duties in clinic to ensure smooth operation and provide updates to veterinary staff.

Key Responsibilities

• First point of contact:
  • Serve as an initial point of contact for clients during emergency situations, whether through calls or in person visits. Including greeting all clients, answering calls, and booking appointments as well as handling financial transactions.
• Administration:
  • Manage administrative duties in clinic accurately, ensuring the smooth operation of the service.
  • Providing updates to veterinary staff about patients enroute or clients requiring assistance.
• Client Support:
  • Be a friendly and reassuring presence, offering support and information when clients need it most.
  • Act as a liaison between clients and veterinary professionals.

Working pattern

Week 1: Saturday from 15:00 to 21:00 and Sunday from 09:00 to 19:00

Week 2: Off

Week 3: Saturday from 15:00 to 21:00 and Sunday from 09:00 to 19:00

Week 4: Off
