Job summary

Beechwood Medical Centre is seeking a part of the reception team to manage patient flow and administrative tasks in a busy General Practice. The role involves face-to-face interactions with patients, handling bookings and registrations, and supporting the Practice Operations Manager with daily duties.

The ideal candidate will have experience in a busy GP setting or primary care, though full training will be provided.

Qualifications

• Experience in a busy General Practice is useful but not essential.
• Willing to work the specific shift pattern with some flexibility.

Responsibilities

• Carry out administrative duties associated with working in a busy General Practice.
• Deal with all patients and visitors to the practice in a face to face environment.
• Book, change and cancel appointments for patients in line with current arrangements.
• Deal with prescription requests, patient registrations, patient signposting and duties as requested by the Practice Operations Manager, Business Manager or Partners.
• Work with other team members and support the practice operationally (ordering, room allocations, photocopying, post management, etc.).
